Art
View Ridge Elementary has supported a truly authentic Art Program since the late 90’s and I am totally on board to continue this trend! – Liz Lippke Haven, View Ridge Art Teacher
In art class, students grades K-5 tackle many different mediums with a huge variety of techniques at each grade level. A yearly theme such as “World Art” or “The Masters of Art” keeps the projects fresh for the artists and for the hallway audience! Challenge is differentiated within each class and students attend Art class at least once per week. Additionally, there are whole school Arts events that develop the true community spirit that embodies View Ridge.
Fall
In the Fall, we participate in Pinwheels For Peace. This is a community building Art installation that gets student artists talking about Peace and how they have control of Peace in their environment, how to solve problems, and how to look out for each other.
Spring
In Spring, View Ridge has an Art Walk where the hallways are filled with student art and families have their own student artists as a personal guide.
Ms. Haven displays artwork by View Ridge student artists on Instagram @VRE.ART to inspire all of us!
