View Ridge Technology

At View Ridge, students in grades 3-5 are issued laptops. Students in grades K-2 are issued iPads. Technology is accessible to students throughout the school day.

Keyboarding is a critical skill throughout the school year – Typing Agent is a program that helps students improve their keyboarding skills through fun and challenging activities. Students learn how to be safe, responsible and respectful in public domains.

Activities and lessons are designed to build students’ technology fluency and familiarity – by practicing skills such as keyboarding, word processing, and internet research, we can enhance our learning in the classroom and in our world.

Schoology is used by our 4th and 5th grade students to communicate with their teacher and keep track of learning expectations. This sets them up for successful learning in middle school.
